冬至的月蝕 Lunar eclipse in the night of winter solstice 2010-12-21

Early this morning, Chi set our alarm to 2:00am so on this frigid December morning of 2010, we sat on our front porch, watching the Moon slowly turned into a dark orange.
Lunar eclipse occurred on the same night as the winter solstice doesn’t happen very often, NASA says that last time the two events coincided was in 1638; 372 years ago.
Hopefully another 372 years into the future we can watch it together again.

2010 an even shorter trip to Shanghai

This was a business trip. The company was in market for 4 X 10,000 litres S/S food grade mixing tanks, we went to Shanghai to assess the quality of the workmanship before placing the order. Our contact has a joint venture factory in Suzhou, we stayed at Suzhou over the weekend, visited an old town on Sunday. The first "house" we visited belonged to a wealthy family where the last generation of owner was a former treasurer of the "Nationalist" government in the early days. His surname is Yen ("salt" not meaning just the sound in Cantonese).

Established in 1975? That's our year!

Found this bike jacket while browsed around for bike stuff, it's made by a Jap company RS-TaiChi found in 1975, the brand is my name & Chi's combined, not only 1975 is the year of our class, it's also the year Chi & I 'officially' met, what a coincident!

2010 Short Trip to Vietnam

We went back in end of September. I only stayed for a week while the other stayed 2 weeks because of work. We joined a tour to Hoi An, Da Nang and Hue.
